I extend my warmest New Year’s greetings to all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
The past year has been full of challenges, hard work, and notable achievements. Your work, often performed away from the public eye, represents a solid foundation upon which the entire Republic of Serbia rests.
In 2025, you have successfully completed numerous tasks thanks to your dedication, professionalism, and readiness to respond to every security challenge. I would like to highlight your participation in the Power of Unity military parade, where you proudly presented the strength and competence of our armed forces and once again demonstrated that the true power of the Serbian Armed Forces lies in their togetherness, unity, and commitment to a common goal - safeguarding national peace and security.
Over the past period, significant steps have been taken to strengthen the defence system. Investments have been directed toward modern equipment, next-generation weaponry, infrastructure improvements, and further efforts to enhance operational capabilities and the quality of life of members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces. These investments are not merely material in nature, they send a clear message that the state stands by its people, supports their mission, and ensures that they can perform their duties safely and professionally.
The year ahead will bring new challenges, but also new opportunities. We enter it stronger, equipped with more advanced technology, and with greater organizational stability. We will continue to invest in the modernization of our units, in training, and in improving the living and working conditions for all members of the defence system.
We are aware that, as Serbia celebrates the holidays, many of you are on duty, guarding our borders, protecting vital facilities, and carrying out responsible tasks upon which the safety of us all depends. Thank you for your selfless service and devotion to Serbia, which is evident in every task you perform and in every step you take. This quiet yet profound dedication is the reason why our nation respects and trusts the defence system.
Everything we do serves a single purpose, to build a stable, secure, and proud Serbia, a country where future generations will grow up in peace. The Serbian Armed Forces are the true strength of our people, they come from the people, belong to the people, and protect their security with unwavering dedication. It is for this reason that they enjoy the well-earned trust of the citizens.
May 2026 bring you and your families success, good health, personal and professional growth, and joy, and may it bring peace and stability to Serbia.

Dear citizens of Serbia,
Our homeland has always been as strong as its people have been united, resilient, and ready to defend their dignity and the values that form the basis of our state. Throughout history, our ancestors have always demonstrated strength, responsibility, and the ability to face every challenge, relying on mutual trust and a sense of community. It is the strength of our people that forms the basis of our country’s security and stability.
Your support and the trust you place in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces have always been and will always be the main motivation for every member of the defence system to perform their duties responsibly, dedicatedly, and professionally, protecting the security, sovereignty, and freedom of our homeland.
It is the long-term responsibility of all of us to leave a safe, strong, and free country to future generations, one in which hard work, honour, and responsibility are valued. We have demonstrated our commitment to fulfilling this sacred duty throughout 2025, which has been very challenging, by successfully overcoming every obstacle. Your support along the way has been invaluable, and on behalf of all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, I extend my sincere gratitude.
May 2026 bring us all good health, happiness, peace, and progress, as well as greater mutual understanding, solidarity, and faith in the shared values that unite us as a nation and make us stronger.
