MOD and SAF members take part in Career Guidance Fair in Pirot

The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, in collaboration with the National Employment Service branch in Pirot, took part in a Career Guidance, Education, and Employment Fair held in Pirot. The event presented opportunities for careers in the Armed Forces, as well as the educational and academic programmes offered by the Defence University.
The event was aimed at final-year elementary and secondary school students preparing to choose their future careers, as well as at unemployed citizens, who were given detailed information on employment and career development opportunities within the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.

Visitors had the chance to speak with Army personnel, who presented their units at the fair. Citizens and students learned about the duties and skills of members of the 3rd Army Brigade, the Mixed Artillery Brigade, the 21st Signal Battalion, and the 3rd Military Police Battalion. In addition, members of the T-72 Tank Battalion and the BRDM-2M Armoured Reconnaissance Battalion presented career opportunities within their units.
According to Second Lieutenant Milica Stanković from the 3rd Army Brigade, brigade members have accepted the invitation from the National Employment Service branch in Pirot to take part in the fair and showcase some of their weapons and military equipment, as well as employment opportunities within the Serbian Armed Forces.

– The purpose of our participation is to introduce citizens to the opportunities for employment and professional careers within Army units. We are especially pleased to see so many young people among the visitors. We believe it is important to acquaint them with the values of military profession from an early age, so they can understand the significance, responsibilities, and opportunities that this career offers – Second Lieutenant Stanković emphasized.
At the city square in Pirot, visitors had the opportunity to see a display of Army weapons and equipment, watch a demonstration of combat skills, learn about the training of military working dogs at the Dog Training Centre in Niš and acquaint themselves with the forensic equipment used by the Military Police.
