Technical Test Centre Day marked
A formal ceremony was held today at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović Military Air Base in Batajnica to mark Technical Test Centre Day, commemorating the establishment of the Aviation Test Group in 1933 at the former military airfield in Zemun.
On this occasion, plaques and certificates of appreciation were presented to external partners, along with awards to members of this scientific research institution who achieved outstanding results in the past year.In a review of the past year, it was highlighted that the Technical Test Centre successfully completed all its task and projects, thereby making a significant contribution to strengthening the capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces. Key achievements included improvements in testing procedures, modernization of test equipment, and the implementation of projects relating to armaments and military equipment.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff, SAF units, businesses, and other guests.The Technical Test Centre is a scientific research institution of the Serbian Armed Forces authorized to conduct final, verification, and homologation testing of weapons and military equipment, as well as to provide metrological support for the defence system. It is directly subordinate to the Development and Equipment Department( J-5) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.
