International course conducted at CBRN Training Centre

An international course titled Detection, Dosimetry, and Protection from Ionizing Radiation was conducted at the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Training Centre. The course was attended by members of the armed forces from nine countries.
During the five-day course, CBRN specialists from the armed forces of Azerbaijan, Egypt, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Slovenia, and Spain were trained to operate in environments exposed to ionizing radiation.

In specialized laboratories and through practical exercises, they practised using detection and dosimetry equipment, techniques for measuring and identifying sources of ionizing radiation, assessing biological effects of radiation, and applying essential protective measures.
The course was delivered by certified CBRN Centre instructors, supported by guest lecturers from the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences and the Serbian Radiation and Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate.

The successful completion of the training, along with the strong international interest it continues to attract, is another confirmation of the expertise of the instructors and the high quality of CBRN training within the Serbian Armed Forces. It also provides additional momentum for strengthening military-to-military cooperation with partner nations.
