Bilateral Defence Consultations with the Kingdom of Spain
A delegation from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, led by Colonel Zlatko Bogosavljević, Head of Department for International Military Cooperation, visited Madrid in the Kingdom of Spain for the purpose of holding bilateral defence consultations.

The Spanish delegation was headed by Brigadier General Paulino García Diego, Advisor to the Director General for Defence Policy of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Spain.
During the discussions, the two delegations reaffirmed their shared commitment to further developing defence cooperation in areas of mutual interest and agreed that participation in the UNIFIL peacekeeping operation in Lebanon represents the most significant form of defence cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Spain.

On that occasion, they reviewed past cooperation activities, after which the delegations proceeded to harmonise the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan, which was subsequently signed by the heads of the delegations.
Following the bilateral consultations, Colonel Bogosavljević met with the Director General for Defence Policy of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Spain, retired Brigadier General Fernando López del Pozo, with whom he discussed future directions for defence cooperation.
