Marking the Day of the 1st Training Centre
A military ceremony was held today at the ”Aerodrom” barracks in Sombor to mark the 1st Training Centre Day – 13th November, in memory of the day when the Centre was established in 2006, and when, in 1918, the victorious Serbian Army entered Sombor.
On the occasion of the holiday, deserving members of this unit from the Training Command were awarded and commanded, a ceremony was held and a cultural and artistic programme was performed.
In reviewing the results of the previous year, it was emphasised that the 1st Centre successfully provided numerous training programmes to soldiers performing their military service and cadets, as well as various types of training for officers, non-commissioned officers and professional soldiers, thereby making a significant contribution to improving the individual competence of the Serbian Armed Forces members.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces units, local government bodies, churches and veterans’ associations, retired unit members, reserve members and numerous guests.
