Flight training on multi-purpose combat helicopters
Regular flight training is currently underway for members of the 890th Mixed Helicopter Squadron, part of the 204th Air Brigade, at the “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” Military Airfield in Batajnica and the wider Belgrade area.

The training is conducted on multi-purpose combat helicopters H-145 and Mi-17. The aim is to maintain and enhance the proficiency of unit personnel and ensure readiness for the execution of assigned tasks.
Alongside pilot exercises, training is also conducted for technical personnel of all specialties, responsible for aircraft maintenance and preparation for flights under varying weather conditions.

Concurrently with regular training, flight instruction is being provided to cadets of the 147th Class of the Military Academy on Gazelle helicopters. This training is carried out in five phases and represents the final stage of cadet qualification within the Air Force study program, preparing them for initial officer duties as pilots in helicopter squadrons of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence.
Flight and technical training within the squadron is part of the planned professional development carried out throughout the year under various conditions. Continuous and high-quality training ensures a high level of competence among professional personnel, maintaining constant readiness for search and rescue operations, medical evacuation, air transport, and provision of aerial fire support to the Serbian Armed Forces during operational missions.
