Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, was a guest at the military parade in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, held today on the occasion of the national holiday — Victory Day.

Units of the land, air and naval components of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces participated in the parade. Among modern weapons and military equipment, 152 mm self-propelled gun-howitzers “Perun” from the production program of the Serbian defense industry was presented, which is characterized by full automation and a high level of autonomy during combat operations.

The delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces, which is staying in Baku at the invitation of Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, included Head of the Human Resources Directorate (J-1) Brigadier General Slađan Hristov and Head of the Cabinet of the Chief of the General Staff, Colonel Boris Stojković.

General Mojsilović spoke with General Valiyev during his stay in Azerbaijan. On that occasion, commitment of both sides to developing a dynamic bilateral military cooperation in all areas of mutual interest was confirmed.

It has been assessed that the deepening of cooperation in the field of defense, which follows excellent relations at the highest state level, began to give concrete results and it has been concluded that the established dynamics should be continued, regarding both the implementation of joint activities of units and high-level meetings.

At the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Valijev was a guest at the “Power of Unity” Military Parade in Belgrade, while he paid an official visit to our country in June 2024. Such high-level meetings contribute to mutual understanding and trust, giving impetus to the improvement of bilateral military cooperation.
