The crews are practising tactics and techniques for formation takeoffs and landings on unprepared terrain, as well as carrying out manoeuvres as part of a helicopter squadron.
In parallel, technical personnel of all specialties are practising preparatory and pre-flight procedures, such as detailed helicopter airworthiness inspections, including checks of helicopter engines, radio-navigation systems and weapons. The next stage includes combat training with live-fire exercises engaging ground targets, which will round off this training cycle.
The Anti-Armour Helicopter Squadron, stationed at the Morava Air Base in Lađevci, is tasked primarily with providing air support to ground troops and special forces during combat missions.
