Minister Gašić visits CBRN Centre in Kruševac



Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić visited members of the CBRN Defence Centre of the Training Command at the Car Lazar barracks in Kruševac.
Colonel Vladimir Filipović, Commander of the CBRN Centre, briefed the Minister of Defence on the Centre’s mission, responsibilities, training process, and proposals for further improvement of working conditions.
 
Following the meeting, Minister Gašić toured the newly refurbished facilities for the accommodation of voluntary service soldiers, course participants, and training activities. During his visit to the radiological and chemical laboratory, he was introduced to modern detection and dosimetry equipment, as well as a segment of the training of the Centre’s full-time personnel and soldiers of the September 2025 voluntary service intake.
On that occasion, the Minister of Defence noted that the CBRN Centre possesses highly skilled personnel and modern equipment, and that its members are motivated, well-trained, and fully prepared to carry out all assigned tasks. He emphasized the significance of the CBRN Centre and the importance of continuous investment in training conditions.

– It is important that we keep improving accommodation and training facilities to ensure that our personnel have the best possible working and learning environment. The Ministry of Defence will continue investing in new equipment, infrastructure development, and the overall improvement of living and working conditions within the units of the Serbian Armed Forces. The significance of this Centre is reflected in the fact that members of foreign armed forces also receive training here, which speaks to the international reputation and trust placed in our armed forces. The members of the CBRN Centre have proven that they are well-prepared and trained to respond effectively to any situation, and that through their expertise and dedication, they safeguard the security of the citizens and their homeland – said Minister Gašić.
The Minister of Defence was accompanied on the visit by Brigadier General Nebojša Cvetković, Deputy Commander of the Training Command, and Colonel Nikola Matović, Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence.
