Representatives of defence system at 68th International Belgrade Book Fair
Continuing a long-standing tradition, this year, the Media Centre “Odbrana” of the Public Relations Department, Ministry of Defence, is once again taking part in the 68th International Belgrade Book Fair as an official and distinguished military exhibitor. Visitors to the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces booth can look forward to a diverse publishing and promotional programme, as well as appearances by authors whose works have been published by the Media Centre “Odbrana”.
The guest of honour at this year’s book fair is the Republic of Cyprus, along with exhibitors from the Serbian diaspora and from countries across Europe and around the world. The booth of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces is located in Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair. In addition to professional literature on military technology and Defence University textbooks, a wide selection of books intended for the general public will be presented. Along with representatives of the Vojna Knjiga editorial team, authors and literary critics will also speak about newly released titles from various book series.
More than 400 exhibitors will participate in the 68th International Belgrade Book Fair, and the Media Centre “Odbrana” will showcase a selection of titles marking important anniversaries within the defence systems of the Republic of Serbia. Books dedicated to the history of the Military Academy and the Military Technical Institute, from the Monographs series, will be promoted, along with titles from the History series – Drugi svetski rat (Second World War) by Slobodan Đukić, Ph.D., and Vojna bolnica Petrovaradin (Petrovaradin Military Hospital) by Dragan Koruga.
In addition to the Media Centre “Odbrana”, the Military Film Centre “Zastava Film” will also take part in promoting the defence system at this year’s book fair, through daily screenings of its own productions at the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces booth.
