Minister Gašić travels to Subotica with Military Academy cadets on board Soko high-speed train



Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić travelled to Subotica today together with cadets of the Military Academy, on board the Soko high-speed train on the newly opened section of the high-speed railway between Belgrade and Subotica.
Travelling alongside Minister Gašić and the cadets were the Rector of the Defence University, Brigadier General Boban Đorović, Ph.D., Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence, Colonel Nikola Matović, acting Director General at Srbija Voz, Ljubiša Pejičić, and the Executive Director for Traffic and Commercial Affairs, Zoran Puzić.

During the journey, Minister Gašić spoke with the cadets about their time at the Military Academy, their living and training conditions, and what motivated them to choose a military career.
Minister Gašić emphasized that the Military Academy cadets are the future of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, and that their commitment, discipline, and desire to serve the homeland prove that Serbia has people to rely on in the years ahead.

– Military Academy cadets are a true example of responsibility, discipline, and patriotism and they deserve respect. Through their commitment and the results they achieve, they prove that they are young men and women all citizens of Serbia can be proud of. Today, our country is incomparably better, stronger, and more modern in all areas than it was before. That is the result of collective effort, responsible leadership, and investment in the development of our country. Thanks, above all, to the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, we now have strong and modern armed forces whose personnel is satisfied with their work, as well as state-of-the-art roads and a railway that is keeping pace with the times, significantly improving the daily life of our citizens – said Minister Gašić.
During the trip, the Minister of Defence also spoke with the management of Srbija Voz JSC about possibilities for cooperation. It was agreed that, in the coming period, an agreement will be signed, allowing cadets and students of military schools to get benefits when using the company’s services across the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
