Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić lays wreaths to mark Kruševac Liberation Day



Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić laid wreaths today at memorials in Kruševac, to commemorate the city’s liberation in both the First and Second World Wars.
The commemoration began with a wreath-laying ceremony and a tribute at the Monument to the Fallen Members of the Armed Forces, Police, and Reserve Forces 1991-1999, located within the Slobodište Memorial Complex.
As he laid a wreath, the Minister of Defence was joined by Colonel Nikola Matović, Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence, and Colonel Vladimir Filipović, CBRN Centre Commander. The commemoration continued at the Dve humke (Two Mounds) site, located within the same memorial complex, where additional wreaths were laid.

Following this, Minister Gašić laid a wreath at the Monument to the Victims of the 1912-1918 Wars, located at Fontana Square in the city centre. 
Wreaths were also laid at the monuments in Kruševac by representatives of the City of Kruševac, the Rasina Administrative District, the Ministry of the Interior, veterans’ associations, and numerous citizens.
