Military units mark their anniversaries

Military ceremonies were held today to mark the 3rd Army Brigade Day and the 3rd Training Centre Day.
The 3rd Army Brigade Day was celebrated in Niš, commemorating October 7, 1912, when the Prince Mihailo 2nd Infantry Regiment of the Morava Division (first call), better known as the Iron Regiment, began its participation in the First Balkan War.

As part of the ceremony, an overview of the brigade’s key achievements in strengthening operational capabilities was presented, and awards were given to the most distinguished individuals and units.
This was also an opportunity to emphasize continued progress in equipping and modernizing combat systems, as well as to highlight the professionalism, top training, and dedication of brigade members in carrying out all assigned tasks. Brigade members demonstrated these qualities at the recently held Power of Unity military parade, further strengthening the operational capabilities of the Army, and helping ensure the safety of people living in this part of the country.

Members of the 3rd Training Centre also marked their anniversary today, commemorating October 7, 1918, when the Serbian Army liberated the city of Leskovac. The military ceremony was held at the Field Marshal Petar Bojović barracks in Leskovac, where awards were presented to the most outstanding individuals, and the centre’s performance over the past year was reviewed. The centre successfully completed all its tasks, primarily the delivery of basic individual training for both active-duty and reserve personnel of the Serbian Armed Forces.
As part of the celebrations, an Open Day event was held, along with a display of weapons and military equipment, which attracted numerous visitors, including elementary and secondary school students. This evening, a formal ceremony will be held at the National Theatre in Leskovac to mark the anniversary of this Training Command’s unit.
