Chief of General Staff discusses situation in KiM with KFOR Commander



The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, met today with the outgoing KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, who is to hand over command of KFOR (Kosovo Force) - the international security force in Kosovo and Metohija, next month.
During the meeting, they discussed security challenges, as well as the current situation and the activities undertaken by the Serbian Armed Forces and KFOR to maintain peace and security in the Province. They also reviewed the accomplishments and challenges that marked General Barduani’s one-year tenure.

The Chief of the General Staff expressed his gratitude to General Barduani for the cooperation and professionalism demonstrated during his tenure as KFOR Commander, and wished him much success in his future assignments. Given that General Barduani is a senior officer of the Italian Armed Forces, General Mojsilović also expressed his gratitude for the contribution of the Italian contingent serving with KFOR, which has played a vital role in safeguarding Serbian religious and cultural heritage in its area of responsibility, while fully adhering to its mandate.
The incoming KFOR Commander will be Major General Özkan Ulutaş. This will be his second time serving as KFOR Commander, having previously served from October 2023 to October 2024.
