Spanish Armed Forces personnel undergo training at CBRN Centre

A two-week specialized training course was held at the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN Training Centre in Kruševac for members of the Spanish Armed Forces. The course included the use of live chemical agents.
Under the expert guidance of the Centre’s instructors, the Spanish personnel practised tactical procedures employed by CBRN personnel operating in contaminated environments. The training took place at the Ravnjak training area and in specialized laboratories at the Car Lazar barracks.

The training combined theoretical and practical instruction, focusing on reconnaissance of contaminated areas, chemical detection, decontamination of soil and facilities, sampling of toxic chemicals, and providing medical care in cases of poisoning by highly toxic substances.
By participating in this training, the Spanish CBRN specialists enhanced their knowledge of toxic chemicals and protective measures, and gained practical experience working in environments contaminated with hazardous substances.

The SAF CBRN Training Centre has been conducting live-agent training for members of the Spanish Armed Forces since 2016. This is one of many activities carried out within the framework of bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and Spain, aimed at strengthening capabilities, interoperability, mutual trust, and overall relations between the two countries.
