Minister Gašić meets with Hungarian counterpart

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić had a working dinner this evening in Belgrade with his Hungarian counterpart, Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky.
Minister Gašić thanked the Hungarian Defence Minister for visiting Serbia and for attending the grand Power of Unity military parade.

During the dinner, the two ministers discussed defence cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, as well as opportunities to strengthen it further. They noted that the relationship between the two countries is at a historic high, and emphasized that the personal friendship between Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has played a key role in fostering these close ties.
During the meeting, Minister Gašić emphasized that Serbia, as a militarily neutral country, remains strongly committed to promoting peace and dialogue, as well as to safeguarding regional stability.

Regarding bilateral defence cooperation, Minister Gašić highlighted that it remains robust and substantive, marked by ongoing improvements in both scope and quality, which is evidenced by the frequent expansion into new areas of cooperation and the strengthening of both military-to-military and military-technical cooperation.
The Hungarian Minister of Defence thanked his counterpart for the opportunity to meet, noting that defence cooperation between Serbia and Hungary is at a high level and will continue to develop in areas of mutual interest.
