Training underway for soldiers of aviation-technical specialty

The Air Force and Air Defence Training Centre is conducting specialized training for soldiers of the aviation-technical specialty within the technical service of the Serbian Armed Forces, who commenced their military service in June this year.
The soldiers are being trained for duties as aircraft maintenance technicians at this Training Command centre, located at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović Military Airfield in Batajnica.

The specialized training lasts six weeks and is conducted in specially equipped classrooms as well as directly on aircraft, providing optimal conditions for acquiring the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively service and maintain aircraft engines, power systems, and communication, navigation, and pilot rescue equipment.
This training phase concludes at the end of next week with an individual skills assessment, after which the soldiers will begin a three-month period of collective training and active integration into the daily operations of Air Force and Air Defence units.

In addition to soldiers of the aviation–technical specialty, the Air Force and Air Defence Training Centre also provides training for personnel assigned to air defence artillery-missile units and the Air Surveillance, Early Warning and Guidance (ASEWG) service.

Soldiers have the opportunity to apply for professional military service while still completing their voluntary military service. Once they pass the standard admission procedure, they become eligible to join the ranks of the professional personnel of the Serbian Armed Forces immediately after completing their service.
