Chief of General Staff meets with commanders to outline vision for Serbian Armed Forces development

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, held a working meeting today with unit commanders and heads of institutions within the Serbian Armed Forces.
The meeting focused on the execution of key tasks, staffing and development of tactical units, the security situation both in the country and in the surrounding region, as well as the most important plans and projects related to the development of the Serbian Armed Forces.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the vision for the Serbian Armed Forces for the 2030-2035 period. This vision includes comprehensive modernization, the implementation of the Digital Army project, continued procurement of modern combat systems, and major investments in infrastructure to support training, as well as the living and working conditions of the Serbian Armed Forces personnel.

Speaking about the vision for the development of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Mojsilović emphasized that the implementation of the Digital Army project would provide tactical units with access to state-of-the-art digital tools. This, in turn, would enhance situation awareness, significantly reduce decision-making time and response time, and – when combined with the continued acquisition of modern weapons and military equipment – make the Serbian Armed Forces more operationally effective and lethal.
He emphasized that preserving peace and security in the region remains a top priority. In conclusion, he highlighted that the primary task in the coming period would be the preparation, organization, and execution of the military parade marking the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag. This event will serve as an opportunity to showcase to both the citizens and the international community the strength of the Serbian Armed Forces and the modern combat systems at their disposal.

On this occasion, the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff praised the members of the armed forces – officers, non-commissioned officers, professional soldiers, and civilian personnel – for the perseverance, discipline, and professionalism they demonstrate daily in their service to the homeland. He emphasized that the security and other challenges we are facing demand full engagement and maximum commitment to the execution of assigned tasks, as this is precisely how the strength of the Armed Forces is built and how peace and stability are maintained within the country.
