MP Detachment “Kobre” marks its Patron Saint’s Day

Today, members of the Special Purpose Military Police Detachment “Kobre” marked for the first time their unit’s feast day – the Synaxis of Saint Gabriel the Archangel – with a modest yet proud celebration.
The event was attended by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, who extended warm congratulations to the detachment on their feast day and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to take part in this significant moment in the unit’s history.

General Mojsilović emphasized that the introduction of the Patron Saint’s Day observance marks an important step in reinforcing the unit’s spiritual and moral values, while also nurturing soldierly virtues and patriotism. It also serves, he added, as a tribute to our traditions and cultural heritage. He further commended the unit members for their outstanding level of training and dedication, highlighting their readiness to effectively meet every challenge and carry out all assigned tasks with distinction.
The host of the Patron Saint’s Day celebration, the Commander of the MP Detachment “Kobre”, Colonel Darko Đošić, expressed his gratitude and pride that, as of this year, the unit officially honours Saint Gabriel the Archangel as its spiritual guardian and heavenly protector.

The celebration was also attended by a delegation of Kobre veterans.
