Minister Gašić attends ceremony marking first 100 days of new Government of Republic of Serbia
Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić attended a ceremony marking the first 100 days of the new Government of the Republic of Serbia, held at the Cultural Centre in Knjaževac today.
At the event, Prime Minister Đuro Macut spoke about the results achieved by the Government during its first 100 days in office.He highlighted the progress made in the Serbian Armed Forces during this period.
- The Armed Forces received new combat equipment, including long-range artillery missiles with improved target effectiveness, as well as ballistic protection gear, clothing and footwear. Additionally, seven domestically developed systems – created by our Military Technical Institute and companies operating within the Serbian Defence Industry Group – were introduced into service, along with three zero-series models – Macut said.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the core objective of the Government’s programme has been – and remains – the protection of national unity and the constitutional order, at all costs. - This is a path from which we will not stray. My hand will remain extended to all who genuinely wish well for this country, for as long as there is even a thread of hope that we can do something good for our homeland together – Macut emphasized.
Minister Gašić said that the Government of the Republic of Serbia had accomplished a great deal in the area of defence over the past 100 days and stated that it was an honour for him to lead one of the most important ministries.
- Significant dedication to the modernization and equipping of our armed forces has been – and remains – a priority for the Ministry of Defence, so that we can continue to safeguard Serbia and ensure the security and safety of its citizens. In addition, important strides have been made in improving infrastructure, as well as the living and working conditions of members of the defence system. We will always take care of that – our citizens should know this - Minister Gašić said.The ceremony marking the first 100 days of the Government was also attended by members of the Defence Minister’s collegium.
