Day of the Second Army Brigade
The Second Army Brigade solemnly marked the Day of the Unit — 12th July, in memory of the day when the Serbian insurgents led by leader Karađorđe won the battle of Karanovac — today’s Kraljevo, in 1805.
At the ceremony held on that occasion in the ‘Ribnica’ barracks, the results of the previous year’s work were summarized and the best individuals and units were conferred awards and recognitions.In light of the results achieved, it was concluded that the brigade successfully implemented all assigned tasks and significantly influenced the improvement of the operational capabilities of the Army. In addition to building and maintaining key capabilities for the execution of tasks in the operations of the Serbian Armed Forces, members of the unit were also engaged in providing assistance to the vulnerable population in the territory of the unit’s deployment, whenever the need arose.
The 2nd Army Brigade today solemnly marked the patron saint’s day of the unit - St. Peter's Day, dedicated to the holy apostles Peter and Paul.
