New ten ambulances for the Serbian Armed Forces



Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and General Milan Mojsilović, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff have attended today the handover ceremony of 10 new general-purpose ambulances, out of a total of 30 procured ones, at the ‘National Hero Stevica Jovanović’ barracks in Pančevo.

In the forthcoming period, another 20 Fiat Ducato ambulances with complete medical equipment will be delivered to the Serbian Armed Forces, with the aim of improving the health care of professional military personnel and military insured persons.
 
On that occasion, Minister Gašić emphasised that the procurement of new ambulances is another important step in the process of strengthening the capacities of the Serbian Armed Forces.

- By delivering new ambulances, we continue to improve the conditions for modern functioning of health care in the Serbian Armed Forces. These vehicles will enable faster and more efficient medical care for patients both in peacetime and in emergencies. The Ministry of Defence will continue to invest in every segment of the defence system - Minister of Defence emphasised adding that investing in new equipment goes hand in hand with raising the standards of military personnel.
 
The procured vehicles are intended for equipping the platoons and health care departments of the units of the Serbian Armed Forces, and their procurement significantly improves the medical support of the units, as well as the quality of medical care for injured and sick persons.

The handover of the new ambulances was attended by Major General Saša Petrović, Head of the Logistics Directorate of the General Staff, Colonel Nikola Matović, Deputy Head of Defence Minister’s Private Office, and Colonel Boris Stojković, Head of Chief of General Staff’s Private Office.
