Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation sign Cooperation Protocol
Today, Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Bela Balint signed a protocol to improve cooperation in science and research between the two ministries.
The protocol specifies the method of cooperation, stemming from a mutual interest in strengthening scientific cooperation and a constant need to exchange knowledge, experiences and publications necessary for the development of scientific research. The purpose of the protocol is to continue and improve the existing cooperation in science and research and to open up new possibilities for planning and carrying out scientific research in areas of importance for the security, defence and overall development of our country.
The protocol, among other things, provides an opportunity to launch new scientific programmes within the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia in areas of importance for defence and security. 
The signing of the protocol was attended by acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić, Head of the Defence Technologies Department Major General Slavko Rakić, Ph.D., Deputy Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence Colonel Nikola Matović, Head of the Strategic Planning Department Colonel Dejan Stojković, Ph.D., and representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation - State Secretary Marija Gnjatović, Ph.D., Head of the Office of the Minister Jovan Milić and Advisor to the Minister Zoran Tomić.
