Chief of General Staff receives winners of Igrajmo za 16 Memorial Tournament

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, received today the Army team that won the 26th Igrajmo za 16 (Let’s Play for 16) Memorial Futsal Tournament hosted by the Serbian Broadcasting Corporation (RTS).
The tournament is dedicated to RTS employees who died on April 23, 1999, when the RTS building was bombed by the NATO aggressor. This year, 200 teams from Serbia and its diaspora took part in the tournament.

In the qualifying matches played over the past two months and in the subsequent super final held in Belgrade’s Rakovica Sports Centre, the Army team demonstrated tremendous team spirit and physical preparedness, winning the tournament against strong competition. The Army team produced the best player at the tournament - Lieutenant Dušan Ristić and the best goalkeeper - Second Lieutenant Bogdan Pejčić.
General Mojsilović praised the winners for the courage and skill they displayed, and said that with their play style, sportsmanship and achieved results, they represented the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as the City of Niš, in the best way. He highlighted that “the Serbian Armed Forces are committed to keeping alive the memory of all the soldiers and civilians killed during the NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, which they show by taking part in events like this”.
