New opportunity to become part of elite – Second enrolment period for military schools



The Ministry of Defence has launched а second enrolment period during which candidates who want a career that brings knowledge, honour and a secure future can apply for one of the prestigious military educational institutions – Military Academy, Military Grammar School and the 1300 Corporals Secondary Vocational Military School.
Young men and women who want to pursue modern study programmes, receive first-class education, become mentally and physically fit, and get employment upon graduation, can apply by June 30, 2025. 

The Military Academy is open to future officers, leaders, and strategists. Candidates born in 2003 or later, who are finishing or have finished a four-year secondary school, are offered modern, quality education, and upon graduation – the rank of second lieutenant and a professional military career.
During the second enrolment period, the Military Academy will admit 100 future cadets to undergraduate academic studies with one of the following six majors: Army, Military Electronic Engineering, Military Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Protection, Military Traffic Engineering and Air Defence.

To apply for one of the following study programmes - Military Electronic Engineering, Military Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Protection, Air Defence and Military Traffic Engineering, the applicants need to have finished a four-year technical or grammar school, or that they are currently in their fourth year.

The Military Grammar School offers broad knowledge and is an excellent basis for further education. Besides knowledge, students at this school acquire and develop psychophysical abilities, a sense of togetherness and teamwork, and values such as honour and patriotism. Eligible candidates are boys and girls born in 2009 or later. Those born in 2008 or later are eligible to enrol in the second year, and those born in 2007 or later in the third year at the Military Grammar School.
In this enrolment period, the Military Grammar School will admit 32 students – 20 to the general programme and 5 to the aviation programme. In addition, the school will admit three students to the second year and four students to the third year of the general programme.

Education at the Military Grammar School lasts for four years and uses the general curriculum for grammar schools in the Republic of Serbia, which also includes specific military content. Once they finish school, the students are obligated to continue their education at the Defence University.

The 1300 Corporals Secondary Vocational Military School is a great opportunity for those who wants to find employment as soon as they complete their secondary education. This is a school for young people born in 2009 or later, who are interested in aviation, electronics, computer science and modern technologies. In this enrolment period, this secondary school will admit 20 students to one of the following programmes - Aero-Technical, Electronic Warfare, Telecommunications and IT, Air Defence Artillery and Airborne Early Warning.
Candidates applying for the 1300 Corporals School must also go through the selection process divided into two phases - psychological and medical assessment and physical fitness, maths and physics tests. Upon graduation, the students are awarded the rank of sergeant and are admitted to the Serbian Armed Forces as professional non-commissioned officers.
