Visit to Weapons and Military Equipment Test Centre

The Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the Nikinci Weapons and Military Equipment Test Centre, today.
He checked the degree of completion of tasks assigned to this unit of the Technical Test Centre and watched the training of SAF members on the Lazar 3M armoured combat wheeled vehicle and the M-80AB1v2 modernized infantry combat vehicle.

He also checked the quality acceptance process for Lazar 3M armoured vehicles that will soon come into service in the Serbian Armed Forces units. These vehicles are armed with a 30 mm remote-controlled combat module designed to engage enemy personnel, firearms, unarmoured and lightly armoured equipment, as well as to observe the environment, perform reconnaissance and identify targets, which makes their combat ability greater compared to similar SAF vehicles.
After the visit, General Mojsilović expressed his satisfaction with the quality of training delivered at the Centre, as well as with the professional and dedicated work of professionals engaged on tasks of great importance for the introduction of new weapons into service, and consequently for the ability of the Serbian Armed Forces to carry out assigned missions.

According to him, the introduction of new armoured vehicles to the arsenal of the Serbian Armed Forces will significantly enhance their ability to carry out manoeuvres and attacks while moving, and improve their firepower and protection of infantry units on the battlefield.

During the tour, General Mojsilović was accompanied by the Head of the Development and Equipment Department (J-5), Colonel Stanisav Mijailović, Head of the CHOD’s Office, Colonel Boris Stojković, and the Director of the Technical Test Centre, Colonel Saša Veselinović, Ph.D.
The Nikinci Weapons and Military Equipment Test Centre is part of the Technical Test Centre — a military research institution authorized to conduct final, verification and homologation tests of weapons and military equipment and provide metrology services to the defence system.
