Serbian, American CIMIC specialists in joint training

A Tactical Civil-Military Cooperation Course is underway at Base South near Bujanovac for officers and non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and the U.S. European Command (EUCOM).
The course is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of CIMIC specialists in carrying out functional tasks in UN and EU peacekeeping missions.

During the eight-day course at Base South and Borovac Training Area, the trainees are acquiring new knowledge about the activities of civil society organisations operating in mission areas and are undergoing practical training in performing different roles in CIMIC teams and units.
The training is being delivered by a mixed team of instructors from the Serbian Armed Forces and the U.S. Armed Forces, as well as by visiting lecturers from the Sector for Emergency Management of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior.

Joint military personnel training is one of the successful areas of bilateral military cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the USA, which aims to improve the skills and interoperability between armed forces and strengthen mutual understanding and trust.
