Training activities of MP Detachment “Kobre”
Today, the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited members of the Special Purpose MP Detachment “Kobre”, who are carrying out regular intensive training activities at the Peskovi Training Area.
In the area surrounding this location, unit members, including professional soldiers admitted late last year, are practicing terrain search actions and procedures that fall within the responsibilities of MP platoons, and are conducting live fire drills.
The training utilizes modern weapons and combat equipment, optronics, UAVs, drone jammers and military working dogs to detect explosives and other dangerous substances.
General Mojsilović and his associates observed the execution of a tactical live-fire exercise where the unit members demonstrated their tactical and firearms skills while performing reconnaissance, searching the terrain, establishing a narrow line of blockade and neutralizing an infiltrated sabotage and terrorist group.
Upon completion of the exercise, the Chief of the General Staff congratulated Kobre members on their successful performance and commended the utilization of modern equipment during the training process, as well as the professional members’ skill in using it while executing the task. He also expressed his satisfaction with the quality of MP training provided to soldiers admitted to the unit as part of Project 5000, emphasizing that the level of their professional and specialist skills indicates that they will soon reach the highest standards that are required of this SAF unit.
