Specialist Training for Candidates for Serbian Armed Forces Non-Commissioned Officers

Training Command centres are currently conducting specialist training for civilian candidates who are being trained for the admission in professional military service as non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The candidates are the attenders of the first class of the Non-Commissioned Officers’ Course, which, as the new model of training for initial NCO duties in the Serbian Armed Forces units, has been organised since October last year, in four modules lasting for nine months.

The third module of the training is currently in progress, during which the candidates are trained in performing duties pertinent to their branches or services. Previously, at the first two modules, they gained necessary basic military knowledge and skills to exercise command over a group, team and squad.

In the final phase of the training, the candidates will be in their internship in Serbian Armed Forces units, in accordance with the work places they applied for, and then they will have an opportunity to be in the role of squad commanders or deputy commanders. Those who successfully complete that module will be promoted into the rank of sergeant and join the ranks of enlisted men of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Young men and women who wish to become non-commissioned officers of the Serbian Armed Forces, and have completed four-year secondary education or are currently attending the fourth grade of a secondary school, can even now apply for the competition, which will be opened by the end of the month.
