Flight training with H-145M helicopters

Members of the 98th Air Brigade’s helicopter squadron, which is equipped with an H-145M helicopter, are doing regular training in performing unit-specific flying tasks.
The training provides an opportunity for pilots and aircraft technicians to maintain and improve their ability to use this type of aircraft efficiently in both combat and non-combat operations in all weather conditions, by day and night.

The training programme involves pilots flying at low altitudes to prepare for carrying out patrol and reconnaissance tasks, take-off and landing on an unsecured area in restricted visibility, in rainy, snowy and windy weather, as well as the procedures followed when carrying out more complex tasks that require the use of several aircraft.
In parallel with flight training, aircraft technicians of all specialties responsible for keeping aircraft in good working order and making sure they are available for flight missions, are also doing training. Special attention is given to additional training of young leaders who have recently been assigned duties in the unit.

The H-145M multi-role light helicopter is used for transporting people and material, search and rescue missions, medical transport, reconnaissance, battlefield observation and fire support.
