Rotation of SAF team in EUTM Somalia

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces, who have been engaged in the European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM Somalia) since last Аugust, have returned to the Republic of Serbia after successfully completing their participation in the mission and handing over duties to a new contingent.
They were replaced by fellow doctors and medical technicians from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces who were deployed to the area of operation in mid-February and began their six-month tour of duty after the handover ceremony.  Like their predecessors, they will be tasked with providing the injured and sick force members with preventive medical care and treatment in the mission.

The Serbian contingent in Somalia includes a staff officer serving as the mission's chief of medical corps and a five-member medical team responsible for providing medical training support and primary medical care to international troops stationed at Mogadishu Airport.
The Serbian Armed Forces started participating in EUTM Somalia in 2012, and so far, more than 120 doctors and medical technicians have served at the mission HQ and as part of the medical team.
