Live-fire training against targets on water

Members of the River Flotilla conducted today a live-fire exercise, engaging targets on the water using ships’ armament. The exercise was conducted at the Serbian Armed Forces’ provisional range on the Tisza River near Titel.
Multirole river and patrol ships fired 20mm guns against targets simulating enemy craft.

All targets designated for destruction were hit, which testifies to a high level of competence of ship crews for providing support to Army troops during operations conducted in the vicinity of inland waterways and for the efficient use of River Flotilla armaments.

Besides the crews of multirole river and patrol ships, members of the Hungarian river units participated in the exercise, for whom this type of fire training is very important, considering that their country does not have a range suitable for this type of training activities.
The live-fire training conducted on the Tisza by the members of the Hungarian Armed Forces is just one of a number of bilateral military cooperation activities conducted jointly by the Serbian and Hungarian armed forces, which contribute to the development of the military-to-military and overall good neighbourly relations between the two countries.
