Exchange of experiences in search and rescue missions



This week, the United States European Command (EUCOM) is paying an official visit to the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence with the aim of exchanging experiences in combat search and rescue missions.  
During the visit, issues of major importance for the safe and efficient execution of search and rescue missions and opportunities for further cooperation between the air forces of the Republic of Serbia and the USA in this area will be discussed. Similar operational procedures are used when engaging helicopters in providing assistance to civilians in emergency situations.
  The activity involves the exchange of experiences in the application of operational procedures for the planning and execution of search and rescue missions and the use of modern devices and equipment for searching, locating and evacuating members of the armed forces and civilians from inaccessible places in all weather conditions and on all types of terrain.
Today's activity at the "Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović" military airport in Batajnica was attended by Acting Assistant Minister of Defence for Human Resources Siniša Radović and U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill.
 
The main activities are being carried out at the "Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović" military airport in Niš.
