Reconnaissance units undergo routine cold-weather training

Members of the 2nd Army Brigade’s reconnaissance units have successfully conducted routine tactical cold-weather training in the wider region of Goč Mountain.
On the mountain slopes, the scouts practiced carrying out tasks in specific real-world conditions, on rough snow-covered terrain.

In accordance with unit-specific tasks and training objectives, the soldiers carried out a wide range of activities, from day/night navigation and movement in unfamiliar terrain, to patrolling, setting up ambushes, finding food in the wild and building shelters for housing soldiers.

They also practiced using modern observation devices and systems that the reconnaissance units have recently been equipped with and whose introduction into service has significantly enhanced the units’ observation, intelligence gathering and processing capabilities.
By successfully completing the cold-weather training, which is just a segment of complex reconnaissance units’ training, the soldiers and commanding officers have significantly improved their knowledge and skills, and the overall ability of these units to do intelligence work has been improved.
