SUBNOR presents awards to Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces



The Union of War Veterans of the National Liberation Wars of Serbia (SUBNOR) has awarded a SUBNOR Plaque to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević. Head of the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans, Colonel Dragan Milković, received the Plaque award on behalf of the Minister of Defence at today's  ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the formation of partisan divisions and brigades of the People’s Liberation Army of Yugoslavia, which was held at the Central Military Club in Belgrade. 
At the ceremony, Fighter Medals were presented to Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, and wartime commanders of heroic brigades of the Yugoslav Army and the Ministry of the Interior.

The Fighter Medal, SUBNOR’s highest decoration, is awarded for outstanding contribution to the defence of the homeland from NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1999.  On behalf of General Mojsilović, the medal was received by Head of the Human Resources Department (J1, Serbian Armed Forces General Staff ), Brigadier General Savo Iriškić. This decoration was also awarded to wartime commanders of the 126th ASEWG Brigade, 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade, 63rd Parachute Brigade, 37th, 125th and 549th Motorized Brigades.
On this occasion, letters of appreciation were presented to Head of the Public Relations Department, Colonel Mihailo Zogović, PhD, and Head of the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans, Colonel Dragan Milković, and special acknowledgments were awarded to members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces for their assistance in carrying out the activities of this organization.
