Visit from Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples

Today, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, received the Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Admiral Stuart Munsch, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
General Mojsilović and Admiral Munsch discussed regional and global security issues and the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and JFC Naples, with an emphasis on the situation in our southern province, considering that this command oversees the Kosovo Force (KFOR).

It was agreed that the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and NATO played a part in strengthening mutual trust and building regional peace and stability. It was also concluded that continued efforts should be made to develop good relations in all areas of mutual interest, and that established cooperation mechanisms ensured that.
Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff said that the current security situation in Kosovo and Metohija was unstable and unpredictable and that the Republic of Serbia expected KFOR, as the only legitimate security actor in the Province, to ensure citizen safety and protect the Serbian population and our cultural, historical and religious heritage. General Mojsilović reminded of a series of unilateral, provocative actions taken by Pristina’s provisional self-government institutions in recent years and assessed that such actions were in direct contradiction to the efforts that the Republic of Serbia and its international partners were making to calm the situation in the field and create a safe and secure environment in Kosovo and Metohija.
During his visit to Serbia, Admiral Stuart Munsch, who is also the commander of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, will have separate meetings with the President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić, Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić.
