Chief of General Staff of Serbian Armed Forces Visits Romania



Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović is paying official visit to Romania, which is being carried out at the invitation of the Chief of General Staff of Romanian Armed Forces General Daniel Petrescu.

The official part of the visit has started today with official welcome ceremony in front of the building of the Ministry of National Defence and General Staff in Bucharest, which was followed by the meeting of generals Mojsilović and Petrescu, and official talks of delegations of the Serbian Armed Forces and Romanian Armed Forces.

At the meetings, the interlocutors discussed the current security situation in the region and world, the hitherto defence cooperation between Serbia and Romania, and the possibilities for the enhancement of the military-to-military cooperation.

On that occasion, General Mojsilović expressed gratitude for the Romania’s support to territorial integrity of our country, and he pointed out that the Republic of Serbia is dedicated to further development of the overall bilateral relations, which he characterised as good neighbourly and friendly relations.

During his stay in Romania, the Chief of General Staff is going to visit the Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East and Land Forces Academy in Sibiu, and the 26th Infantry Battalion of the Romanian Armed Forces in Craiova.
