Wreaths Laid to Mark 102nd Anniversary of Death of General Božidar Janković



Today, at the New Cemetery, a delegation of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces led by State Secretary Aleksandar Živković laid a wreath, with military honours, to mark 102nd anniversary of the death of General Božidar Janković.

The homage to the great Serbian war leader was also paid by members of the Association of War Volunteers 1912-1918, their descendants and admirers.
 
General Božidar Janković participated in Serbian-Turkish Wars, Serbo-Bulgarian War, Balkan Wars and the First World War, and he was one of the most capable officers of the Serbian army of that time.
 
Along with his regular ones, he discharged many other duties. He was the Military Academy professor, member of Academic Council, Acting Head of Operations Division of the Chief General Staff and editor of the military magazine “Warrior” and of Official Military Gazette.
