Minister Stefanović Meets Future Defence Attachés



Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD talked to officers of the Military Intelligence Agency who are, in the period to come, to assume duties of defence attachés in Algeria, Greece, Lebanon, Poland and Turkey, and duties of assistant defence attachés in Germany and Russia.

 Minister Stefanović informed new defence attachés with priorities of the defence policy of the Republic of Serbia and focal tasks in the framework of bilateral military cooperation with the states where they are to take over their duties. He underlined the strong orientation of our country towards the preservation of our military neutrality, and to being a factor in preserving the peace and stability both in our region and in the world, and he stressed that our country is open for cooperation with all international partners in keeping with its own national interests.

 Wishing them success in their future work, Minister Stefanović expressed his belief that they would worthily represent the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces in current challenging times and unwaveringly protect the interests of the Republic of Serbia.

The meeting with future defence attachés was attended by Director of the Military Intelligence Agency Major General Zoran Stojković and Head of Private Office of the Minister of Defence Colonel Stefan Kotarlić.
