Minister Stefanović visits 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade
Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, has visited members of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade in Jakovo. On that occasion, he said that the citizens of Serbia can be happy with the Serbian Armed Forces’ ability to ensure the security of our sky. The Minister also said that he was particularly proud of the 250th Missile Brigade personnel's effort to master the new modern FK-3 and Pantsir systems.
– We have made a huge progress in terms of technology by purchasing the new air defence systems, such as the FK-3 and Pantsir, which have enabled our Air Force and Air Defence personnel to protect our homeland even more effectively. To have a significant advantage over a potential attacker on our country and thus deter anyone who would even think of threatening Serbia. Some of these new assets are among the most modern in the world, and in the hands of our air defence personnel, they are, by all means, the pride of our military – said the Minister.
According to him, our heroic 250th Missile Brigade will receive additional funds by the end of the year to replenish these batteries.
– These boys and girls, with their knowledge and courage, have always been this brigade’s greatest quality, and with these newly-purchased assets, we have acquired new capabilities. I would like to congratulate General Žarković and General Janković on the degree of training of our service members and on the efforts they have made to master these modern means in the shortest time possible, but also on the fact that they look after the safety of our country every day. I have had the opportunity to talk to the operators and commanders of this system, and you can really tell that they are committed and that they love their country very much - said Minister Stefanović.
According to the Minister of Defence, the citizens of Serbia can be happy with the Serbian Armed Forces' ability to ensure the security of our sky and they can live safely in their country.
