Aerial targets firing practice

Members of the Army short-range air defence artillery-missile units have conducted an aerial targets firing practice at the “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Popović” military airfield in Batajnica.
The firing practice is being conducted using the Strela-2M, Strela-10M, Šilo and modernized Bofors systems. Soldiers performing their military service (Class of December 2021) and professional members of the Air Defence artillery-missile battalions are also participating in the joint training activities.

This type of practice is an important step in the preparation of artillery-missile units for conducting aerial targets live-fire drills, whose purpose is to check whether the military equipment is functioning properly and to provide additional training to individuals and combat crews in operating the system and executing specific tasks.
As the training continues, members of the Army artillery-missile units will perform follow-up firings at the military airfield in Batajnica and aerial target live-fire drills at the “Pasuljanske Livade” range, where their skills will be tested in practice.
