President Vučić Arrives at Airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović”
President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić has just arrived at the military airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica where he will attend the demonstration of capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces titled “SHIELD 2022”.
After receiving a report in front of the honorary guard, President Vučić was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stafanović PhD and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović.
Air Force and Air Defence Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković, Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, and Commanders of 63rd Parachute Brigade and 72nd Special Operations Brigade Generals Nenad Zrnić and Miroslav Talijan reported to the minister of defence and Chief of General Staff on the units’ readiness to perform the demonstration.
President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić gave approval to the demonstration director Brigadier General Željko Bilić to start the demonstration.
Today’s demonstration of capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces “SHIELD 2022” organised at the military airfield “Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlović” in Batajnica, includes the participation of more than 1000 members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, more than 300 assets of materiel and more than 60 aeroplanes, helicopters and remotely controlled aircraft.
