Minister Stefanović Visits the United Kingdom



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD is paying official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the invitation of Secretary of State for Defence Ben Wallace.

Today, the minister visited the Imperial War Museum in London whose setup possesses ample material dedicated to the participation of Serbian military in the First and Second World War.

The Museum, founded during the First World War in 1917, today possesses one of the richest collections in the world of personal archives, official documents, photographs, film and video material, comprehensive library, a rich artistic collection, military vehicles, aircraft and military equipment, and other artefacts that preserve the memory of the two greatest war conflicts in the history of the human kind.

During the visit to the United Kingdom, Minister Stevanović will meet his British colleague Wallace and Special Envoy of the United Kingdom for the Western Balkans Stuart Peach, while, in the Parliament, he will talk with Chair of Defence Committee Tobias Ellwood, and Chair of Parliamentary Group for Serbia Andrew Bridgen.

Besides Minister Stefanović, our delegation includes Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović PhD, Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić and Head of Directorate for Intelligence and Reconnaissance Affairs Brigadier General Mirolјub Čupić.
