Meeting of Minister Stefanović with General Grekhov
Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović PhD met Deputy Commander of Aerospace Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Lieutenant General Yury Grekhov.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Stefanović expressed his profound gratitude for the continuous support that Russia has been rendering in the preservation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia. He also expressed his satisfaction with the generous donation of arms and military equipment from the Russian Federation.
He particularly pointed out the received delivery of all 30 T-72MS tanks and 30 armoured reconnaissance vehicles BRDM-2M, which have significantly enhanced operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces.
General Grekhov expressed gratitude for the hospitality and the opportunity to attend the conduct of two important joint exercises executed by the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, the interlocutors concluded that mutual defence cooperation is highly developed, with special focus on military-to-military and military technical cooperation.
