Minister of Defence of People’s Republic of China arrives in Serbia



Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met the State Councilor and Minister of Defence of the People’s Republic of China General Wei Fenghe at the “Nikola Tesla“ airport today. General Fenghe arrived in Serbia for a three-day official visit.
Minister Stefanović welcomed his Chinese counterpart and expressed deep appreciation for his visit to Serbia.

General Fenghe thanked Minister Stefanović and said he was touched by Minister Stefanović meeting him at the airport personally, which was proof of a special and “steel“ friendship between Serbia and China. 

“It is a great honour for us to have you here. We will always try to promote and strengthen the deep friendship between the two countries, the two nations and the two presidents," Minister Stefanović said.

The welcoming party to greet General Fenghe and the Chinese delegation also included the Ambassador of China Chen Bo, Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Predrag Bandić and Commander of Air Force and Air Defence, Major General Duško Žarković.
