Stefanović: We must never forget their heroism

Today, on the anniversary of the NATO aggression, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, visited the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade’s memorial room in the “Banjica“ barracks in Belgrade. Minister of Defence talked to the family members of pilots Milenko Pavlović, Zoran Radosavljević and Ilja Arizanov, members of the Air Force and Air Defence who died heroically defending Serbia during the NATO bombing.
Stefanović pointed out that, as a nation, we must not take our history lightly; we must remember the people who had given their lives for the fatherland and look after their families. He said that we must make sure that our children learn about the heroic deeds of these people who had defended Serbia and that we must never forget their heroism.

The Minister was accompanied by the Commander of Air Force and Air Defence Major General Duško Žarković, Commander of 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade Brigadier General Tiosav Janković and the Commander of the 204th Air Brigade Brigadier General Brane Krnjajić on his today’s visit.
The memorial room in the “Banjica“ barracks, among other things, keeps alive memories of the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade’s heroic resistance against the NATO aggression in 1999 when 28 members of the unit were killed while defending Serbia.
