Minister Vulin: Wherever it is difficult, and whenever it is difficult, the Army is there

The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, accompanied by the Army Commander, Lieutenant General Milosav Simović, visited today members of the Third Army Brigade and the Mixed Artillery Brigade in the “Mija Stanimirović“ barracks in Niš, where the Commander of the Third Brigade, Brigadier General Slađan Stamenković, presented the Minister with a model of an infantry combat vehicle as a sign of gratitude for strengthening the units, and the Acting Commander of the Mixed Artillery Brigade, Colonel Dejan Novaković presented him with a model of a gun.
After the visit, Minister Vulin emphasized that the Army is our largest service branch.

- Hardworking and dedicated people serve in the Army, the people to whom our homeland has always been and always will be above all else. They are equipped with new materiel, after a number of years we have acquired new artillery weapons, new uniforms, new boots, and the financial status of all our members is getting better – Minister Vulin pointed out.

According to him, the Army has returned the favour in the best possible way.

- Wherever it is difficult and whenever it is difficult, the Army is there. While we are talking, the Army is in the Ground Security Zone, where they are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to make sure that our security and our way of life are not jeopardized – Minister Vulin pointed out adding that during the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, members of the Army have carried the heaviest burden, secured all care homes, hospitals, and did whatever was needed wherever it was needed.

The Minister of Defence said that, whenever it was difficult, those people were there for us.
  - I am grateful to them for their enormous effort, great perseverance and diligence and, after all, it is not said without a reason that the Serbian Army is the army of infantrymen and artillerymen. When a Serbian soldier sets his foot in a place, we know that there is peace, order and victory there – concluded Minister Vulin.

Minister Vulin and General Simović also attended the presentation of a part of weapons and equipment used by the Third Brigade and the Mixed Artillery Brigade. The reconnaissance section equipped according to the M-21 model, the operation of the short-range unmanned aerial vehicle - the AIROBOT drone, as well as the reconnaissance multi-sensor platform KIM-1 were shown.
