Ministar Vulin at Patron Saint’s Day of Mileševa Monastery



The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin visited the Mileševa Monastery near Prijepolje today, where he met with the Bishop Atanasije of Mileševa and congratulated on the Founder's Patron Saint Day of that monastery and the Patron Saint’s Day of the Diocese of Mileševa – Holy King Vladislav.
At the meeting, further development and improvement of cooperation between the Ministry of Defence and the Diocese of Mileševa was discussed.
 
Bishop Atanasije of Mileševa thanked for the successful cooperation so far and expressed great satisfaction with the fact that the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binički" and the Mixed Choir of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces will perform at tonight's concert on the occasion of the monastery’s Patron Saint’ Day.

Today’s observance of the Holy King Vladislav festival in the Mileševa Monastery started with holding a wake, after which a concert will be held in the monastery yard where, in addition to the Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” and the Mixed Choir of the MoD and SAF led by conductor Katarina Božić, the “Beli anđeo” Ensamble from Belgrade, soloist Vojislav Spasić, the “Venac” Ensemble of folk dances and songs of Kosovo and Metohija from Gračanica, a gusle player Vaso Đonović and actors Vesna Pavlović, Vladimi Jocović and Ivan Vučković will also perform.
Tomorrow’s festive day will start with a Holy Hierarchal Liturgy served by Bishop Atanasije Rakita of Mileševa and it will continue with a love feast in the monastery’s refectory.
