A paratrooper’s beret for Minister Vulin

The Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin visited the members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade at the military airport “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović“ in Niš today, where the Commander of the Brigade, Colonel Nenad Zonić, on behalf of all the members, presented the Minister with a red paratrooper’s beret as a token of appreciation for everything that has been done for the members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade and that unit.
According to Minister Vulin, today the members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade carried out one of the most demanding jumps from an altitude of 4,000 m as part of their regular activities and training.

- They successfully landed on the designated drop zone and showed that they successfully completed this segment of parachute training. All the members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade are undergoing continual training, they are able to do that because they have enough aircraft that they can use, they have state-of-the-art equipment, the most modern parachutes that can be found on the market. Everything that can be bought is insufficient and inexpensive when you see what tasks our people perform and how well trained they are, how ready and capable of performing any task that is set before them. All the members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade undergo training every day and they are always ready to carry out any task – the Minister of Defence emphasized.
Major Mario Bradić form the 63rd Parachute Brigade spoke about three segments of today’s training.

- A training of the March generation of soldiers who are doing voluntary military service and specialize in parachute assembly was carried out, as well as a joint parachute training and basic parachute training of a part of professional members of the brigade, the March class of soldiers and members of the Battalion of the Military Police for Special Operations “Cobras”, and we could also see students of the advanced parachute course carry out parachute jumps. They jumped from an altitude of 4,000 m and landed successfully – said Major Bradić and added that 90 jumps were carried out today, with a 17 km overflight and that they all showed an enviable level of acquired knowledge and skills.
